Enable 128GB of Storage on Mesa 3 Android
23 Aug 1970
Mesa 3 Android tablets shipped after January 26, 2024 (serial number 365744 or higher) shipped with an updated mainboard that increased the internal storage from 64 GB to 128 GB. To enable the full 128 GB storage, you will need to perform a factory reset.
Step 1: Open Settings > Storage. Check the amount of internal storage on your tablet.
If the total storage is 128 GB, your tablet has already been upgraded. No further action is needed.
Step 2: Back up your device, using one of the following methods.
Back up data and apps to your Google account. (See Back Up and Restore Android Devices for instructions.)
Use another Mesa 3 Android tablet or other Android device that already contains the same data and apps. After the factory reset, you can transfer the data and apps from that device.
Use an external storage, such as a thumb drive or microSD card, to copy all important data files from the device. Depending on how they were created, these files may not be fully preserved by the backup and restore operation.
Step 3: Factory reset your device.
Open Settings > System > Reset options > Erase all data (factory reset).
Confirm that you want to erase all data and accounts on your tablet.
Your tablet is factory reset, and the internal storage is reconfigured to 128 GB.Your tablet reboots and displays the setup screen.
